This modern architecturally designed home by Doring Design in Hamilton South is truly a work of art. The landscape design’s intention is to nestle this contemporary home into the traditional streetscape. Inspiration was taken from the minimalist color palette, utilizing the rustic-style brick in the fence, with a feature ‘hit and miss’ boundary fence to enhance the driveway.

An aluminum batten screen in black at the front entrance provides a vertical element and privacy. The honed aggregate driveway in soft sandstone and white adds a modern textural surface, combined with brick-edged stairs that emphasize the front entry.

All these hardscape elements are softened with a variety of softly flowing grasses in muted color tones, including Phormium, Pennisetum, Dianella, and Lomandra.
