The clients visage was to restore this 1950’s coastal cottage, both inside and outside.

Dream Design Scapes were able to enhance this 1950’s cottage by taking advantage of unique spaces, allowing the outside to merge with the inside, by installing a private courtyard deck off the kitchen with custom made timber french doors, is perfect for morning coffee or afternoon drinks.

Keeping with the light, airy coastal feel of this cottage, Victorian mountain ash was utilised as decking with a marine finish, to maintain the unique light colouring of the timber. Laser cut privacy panels were installed allowing light to filter through whilst maintaining privacy from neighbouring properties. A Blackbutt timber bench, mounted between screens has two benefits in providing the required handrail and the perfect place for that afternoon cocktail.
